OPEN - CALL FOR ABSTRACTS 17th MARCH – 5th MAY 2024

Dear friends and colleagues,

SAVE THE DATE: IEIDCXII Deauville, France
30th September – 4th October 2024

It is with great pleasure that I announce the twelfth International Equine Infectious Disease Conference (IEIDCXII) which will be held IN-PERSON in the beautiful seaside resort of Deauville, Normandy, France. The dates are 30th September – 4th October 2024.

The format will consist of four days of scientific plenary sessions, oral and poster presentations and a  Practitioners’ Day, accompanied by many trade stands from our generous sponsors. There will be ample opportunity to catch up and network with friends and colleagues to discuss our favourite topics relating to equine infectious disease – I cannot wait! The venue will be the Deauville International Centre which is located on the sea front and a range of accommodation will be available close to the venue.

The Call for Abstracts will be opened in early 2024.

We look forward to seeing you there!

With kind regards,
Prof James Gilkerson
Chair: International Organising Committee

Deauville is situated in the Calvaldos department of Normandy in north west France. It is famed for its long flat sandy beaches where strings of polo ponies can be seen at exercise. The equine focus continues with the Deauville la Touques and Clairefontaine racecourses and beautiful surrounding countryside, which is is home to numerous Thoroughbred stud farms. As a result, the town is twinned with Lexington, Kentucky and County Kildare, Ireland. Yearling Thoroughbred yearling horse sales and races are held throughout the summer, in addition to polo competitions. The harbour, marinas, Grand Casino and prestigious hotels complete the attractive location.

Deauville is reached by train, which takes 2 hours from Paris St Lazare station. International flights to Paris land at Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) and transport links between the airport and station take about 30 minutes.
