Outline Programme
Thank you for your interest in IEIDCXII which will be held at the CID in Deauville from Monday 30th September to Friday 4th October inclusive. Here, you will find an outline and short explanation of the Scientific and Practitioners’ Day Programmes. Please monitor the IEIDCXII website and LinkedIn pages for updates. Registration gives you access to all events, with the exception of the Gala Dinner which is by purchase of a separate ticket (limited availability). Presenting delegates will be sent guidelines for oral or poster presentations from the IEIDC Secretary Dr Julia Kydd (juliakydd@outlook.com). Sponsors will be contacted by Stephanie Dulbecq of AS Connect (sdelbecq@asconnect-evenement.fr) regarding details.- Monday 30th September: Opening Ceremony and Welcome Cocktail Reception
- Opening Ceremony (4:30-5:45pm) which will be attended by local dignitaries and members of the International and Local Organising Committees. It will be held in the Auditorium. All are welcome to attend.
- Welcome Cocktail Reception will be held in the Exhibition Hall (6-7:30pm). All are welcome to attend.
- Tuesday 1st – 4th October: Scientific Programme
- Plenary speakers will give their 30min presentations at 8:30am and 2:30pm each day in the Auditorium.
- These will be followed by two parallel sessions in which 15min Oral Abstracts will be presented, either in the Auditorium or Lexington rooms.
- Poster Abstracts and the commercial exhibition will be displayed on the evening of Wednesday 2nd October, with cheese and wine in the Exhibition Hall.
- Three “Meet the Experts” parallel sessions will run from 5:30pm each day on Tuesday-Thursday inclusive and consist of a round table discussion format. The aim is to facilitate early career researchers to meet and converse with more senior colleagues in their respective fields. Details to follow.
- Refreshment breaks will be 30mins each morning and afternoon (10:30-11am and 4-4:30pm), with lunch between 1-2:30pm.
- The Gala dinner will be held at Les Franciscaines on Thursday evening (separate ticket purchase).
- Thursday 3rd October 11am – Friday 4th October: Practitioners’ Days
- A series of 30min presentations by international experts, with a focus on clinical aspects of equine infectious diseases.
- English-French translation will be available.
- Two round table discussions on “Antimicrobial use: best practice” and “Biosecurity”.
